Healthcare and Administrative Law Advisor and Litigator

 

Ariail Kirk is a healthcare litigator and experienced administrative lawyer practicing in Jolley Law Group’s Columbia, South Carolina office. Ariail co-leads the firm’s healthcare practice and has significant experience in the South Carolina Administrative Law Court and before state and federal regulatory agencies.  In her practice, she handles healthcare matters related to certificate of need and applicability determinations, Medicare and Medicaid provider appeals, as well as civil litigation matters for healthcare clients.  Ariail’s regulatory background allows her to assist professionals and corporations in matters before the Board of Medical Examiners, the Board of Pharmacy, and other Boards under the purview of the South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing, and Regulation and to advise and assist hospitals and other healthcare providers in their efforts to obtain regulatory approvals for new healthcare facilities and services. 

Ariail practiced in Columbia and served as counsel at the South Carolina Public Employee Benefit Authority prior to joining JLG.  She utilizes her knowledge in advising businesses and health care providers on a variety of regulatory and operational matters, including employee benefit plans and the Affordable Care Act.

Ariail is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association.  She serves as Immediate Past Chair/Section Delegate to the  House of Delegates for the SC Bar Health Law Section Council.  In 2014, Ariail was included in South Carolina Super Lawyers®, Health Care.  She is a graduate and former board member of Leadership South Carolina and has actively served her community as a Board Member for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Passport to a Cure and as a member of the Junior League of Columbia.
